About the Journal

The Emory Journal of Neuroethics is a student-led, peer-reviewed publication founded in 2025 by Yuna Lee, a Emory University alumna with a B.S. in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology and a minor in Neuroethics. The journal was established to create a dedicated space for undergraduate voices in the emerging field of neuroethics — an interdisciplinary domain at the crossroads of neuroscience, medicine, philosophy, and ethics.

We believe that undergraduates have a vital and often overlooked perspective in scholarly conversations about the brain, cognition, and their ethical implications. Our publication provides rigorous editorial mentorship through a structured Editorial Fellow program, pairing each writer with a senior editor committed to developing their scholarship.

The Emory Journal of Neuroethics is a chartered student organization at Emory University. We publish two editions annually — Winter and Spring — and accept submissions on a rolling basis from undergraduate authors across disciplines.
